Free Hut Nights for CMC Members
The Committee is always keen to ensure that members enjoy being part of CMC, and feel they get value for money.
Due to excellent management over the years, we still have a reasonable surplus in the accounts even after we allocated funds to offset the effect of the substantial increase in BMC subscriptions this year. We hope to defray this, to some extent, in a way which could benefit all our members.
It has been agreed to credit all full members with 2 nights’ free stay at the Patterdale Hut (normal charge £8 per night), available to use over a period of twelve months commencing the 12th March, the date of the AGM.
The credits can be spent on any normally available nights i.e. not when an “Exclusive Stay” has been booked mid week (denoted by a red square on the calendar). If outside clubs are booked in to use the large dorm (denoted by a green square on the calendar) CMC members can still stay, using the Members’ Room.
It is hoped that the offer will be appreciated and stimulate greater use of the Club’s fantastic base in the Lake District. For those not familiar with the Hut, information is available on the Club website and we have an information sheet for members staying at the Hut for the first time. Keys can be obtained on payment of a £15 deposit from the Hon Hut Warden, Dave Richards.
The scheme is for one year only and is being jointly funded from the Club’s general account, and the Hut accounts.
