Staying at the Hut
CMC Members
The Club Hut is located at Patterdale in the Lake District and is available for use by CMC members.
A member may take up to 3 guests, a small bedroom being reserved for members’ exclusive use should the hut be accommodating a booked party at the time.
Signing-in on arrival is essential.
Payment of Hut fees must be made by BACS payment.
Two week-ends per month are normally reserved exclusively for CMC members and their guests. A whole week in the summer holiday, one in the Easter holiday period and October half term are also set aside for members with children.
Dave Richards, the Hut Warden, should be contacted (01609 882585) in relation to any matters concerning the hut facilities, services, faults etc.

You will need your own bedding, tea towels and hand towels.
It is the responsibility of users to clean the hut both on arrival and on leaving the hut.
NB Dogs are not allowed in the hut, no matter how well behaved. Members and guests are also strongly discouraged from keeping their dogs in vehicles overnight both in terms of the dog’s welfare (ventilation/ temperature control ) and potential noise nuisance for fellow Hut users and our neighbours.
Please do not sleep in vehicles.

CMC members – £8.00 per night
Guests – £11.00 per night
External Party Bookings
The Agnes Spencer Memorial Hut can be booked in advance by clubs affiliated to the British Mountaineering Council and other organisations at the discretion of the Cleveland Mountaineering Club Committee. External parties may book up to 12 places in the main bedroom at £15.00 per place per night. The hut calendar on this website indicates availability. All enquiries should initially be made by e-mail to the Hut Booking Secretary at hut.booking.cmc@gmail.com.
Some weekends are reserved for Cleveland Mountaineering Club members and are therefore unavailable to external booked parties.
